Reformed patent laws under the America Invents Act (a.k.a., the "AIA”) introduced the U.S. to a first-inventor-to-file system, which considerably altered the way we approach disclosing new ideas and preparing to file for patent protection. It also offered more efficient ways to challenge patent applications and issued patents without having to submit to expensive and time-consuming litigation. Now that the rules have been active for several months, it’s prime time to understand what practical implications they may have for you and your company.

Nathan Evans, an IP practitioner at Woods Rogers, PLC with over 13 years experience protecting valuable IP, including patents, will provide an overview of the recent patent reforms and encourage participants to ask questions and share with one another.
