This event features Praduman Jain (“PJ”). He is CEO of Vibrent Health at the heart of the national revolution in data driven personalized health monitoring, diagnosis and treatment. Vibrent recently won a five-year multi-million dollar award from NIH to build and operate a key bioinformatics and data technology platform supporting the groundbreaking “All of Us” research program of the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI). All of Us is a national longitudinal patient-engaged platform resource supporting research at the intersection of human biology, behavior, genetics, environment, data science and computation in order to produce new knowledge and develop more effective ways to promote health and treat disease. Vibrent is actively building collaborations with companies, health care systems and universities across the nation and in Virginia, to achieve its mission.

Insights will introduce Charlottesville bioscience leaders to global ideas and contacts, and inform influential guests of the dynamic Charlottesville biohub. Insights is a year long, quarterly series hosted at i.Lab at UVA and other prominent sites on Grounds. The focus of each event will be a special guest - a nationally prominent leader of bioscience innovation and entrepreneurship from outside Charlottesville.

From 4:00 - 5:15 there will be a private reception, limited to the first 25 registrants.  Immediately following will be public networking from 5:30-7:30, open to the entire bioscience community.

There is a suggested minimum donation of $25 per person. This donation will be used to support STEM education and STEM teacher enrichment statewide through the Virginia Bio Foundation.  For more information about the Foundation, click here.
