Harnessing Augmented Reality Technologies for Biomedical Innovation
Dr. Dayanjan S Wijesinghe, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Sciences and Director, Laboratory of Pharmacometabolomics and Companion Diagnostics at VCU School of Pharmacy and his colleagues will share their pathbreaking work developing AR and MR for Immersive Data Analytics for biomedical research, and immersive imaging to support planning for surgery.
Mr. Aliakbar Panahi did his Master's thesis studies under Dr. Wijesinghe on the use of AR and MR for immersive analysis of volumetric data. He continues to work with Dr. Wijesinghe and his team to investigate new applications for this groundbreaking technology in medicine and related disciplines.
