Focused Ultrasound Foundation Recruits Nora Seilheimer As New Co-Director of Development

The Focused Ultrasound Foundation has recruited Nora Seilheimer as Co-Director of Development. Nora will introduce the Foundation’s unique venture philanthropy model to new supporters and forge partnerships with key stakeholders. Nora’s expertise will enable the Foundation to further accelerate the progress of focused ultrasound research, and help speed widespread adoption of focused ultrasound as a standard of care.

Nora began her nonprofit career as a development officer at the Montpelier Foundation in Orange, Virginia in 2003, and was promoted to Director of Annual Giving. She returned to her alma mater, St. Anne’s – Belfield, in 2005 as the Assistant Director of Development. In 2006, she joined the external affairs team as a principal gifts officer at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, the non-profit organization which owns and operates Monticello. Nora currently serves on the boards of the Piedmont Environment Council and the Charlottesville Albemarle Transportation Coalition and is an active member of the Albemarle Garden Club and the Contemporary Club of Albemarle. She has been involved with the Focused Ultrasound Foundation in a volunteer capacity since 2013. She is a 1999 graduate of the University of Richmond where she majored in English Literature with a minor in Art History.
