Nearly 300 biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies are based in Virginia, regionally clustered around universities in Blacksburg, Charlottesville, Richmond, Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia. Virginia Bio hosts regional events to help bioscience professionals network with their neighbors. Please visit our event calendar for information on scheduled events.
Here are some examples of regional programs:
- "Biotech and Beer” networking events: These events take place several times per year in each of the regions across the state. These networking events are business casual social events that help bioscience companies get to know each other in a light-hearted environment.
- Regional Bioscience CEO-Only Groups: Recognizing that "C-Level” executives can benefit from connecting directly with their peers, Virginia Bio has launched CEO-Only groups in many of the regions across Virginia.
- Co-Sponsored Breakfasts, Luncheons and other Events: Virginia Bio works very closely with the regional technology councils across the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Association often co-sponsors such events and members are able to take advantage of special rates and benefits.
