Collaboration and convergence across science and technology are creating wondrous possibilities for treating patients. Therapeutic advances in the lab enhanced by digital applications present interesting and novel challenges to IP practitioners tasked with figuring out how best to protect these innovations. This workshop will discuss how US case law is developing to address the evolving landscape in the life sciences, prosecution strategies in the digital health arena, and an update regarding what is happening at the recently opened Unified Patent Court (UPC).
