In partnership with the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS @ Washington, DC, will host experts from Cooley LLP, to discuss strategic and tactical considerations related to equity financing efforts of emerging growth companies, including a primer on potential sources of equity capital, investor outreach, pitch materials and common types of equity instruments.
The session will also broadly explore the importance of good corporate hygiene in the financing context, proper preparation for due diligence efforts and meeting investor expectations. The program will end with a mock term sheet negotiation, with the goal of introducing key venture capital lingo and various dueling considerations involved in venture capital financings.
